Ruth Pickford and Nick Beech of Leeds Metropolitan University demonstrated their dedication to excellence in teaching and learning and have each won a prestigious national teaching award worth £50,000.

Over 1,200 young people across the region were selected to represent their district in the biggest annual multi-sport event for young people in West Yorkshire held at Leeds Met’s Headingley Campus on Sunday 27 June.

Womens Fun Run - 25/06
The Leeds Met Women’s Fun Run, which took place at the Headingley Campus, was won by 13 year-old Hannah Seddon of Garforth Community College. In joint second place were Leeds Met New Zealand student Leanne O’Leary and Jill Holmes from Birkenshaw.
